my grampa outlived everybody. my grandmother, his siblings, his friends, even one of his sons. one day he said 'they all probably think I went to hell by now' we all miss him so much. but he didn't want to be here anymore after my grandma died

My great grandma was almost 102 when she passed away. She led a very hard life and outlived her entire immediate family, including several of her children. Every time my mom visited, Nanna would say something along the lines of “I think He forgot about me.” and that was always so heartbreaking to hear.

I can imagine my grandma feels this way too. She lost her last sibling 3 years ago and now she’s the only one left of her original family. We’re lucky to have her at 97 but I just know she misses her parents and siblings.

My Mimi said the other day she missed my Great aunt they grew up like sisters with a 12 year age gap, then she married my Pawpaw and my great aunt Betty and uncle Bobby, you never saw the four without each other🥺 she’s the only one left.

My grandfather (mom’s dad) passed at 100 last year after his baby (my mom) passed a few months prior. He was the last of his siblings (12), he watched the world change & take away people he cared for & loved, but still managed to live 100 amazing years. He was able to love & cherish 10+ great grandchildren before he left us as well. I don’t know his struggles in life, but I know he was always surrounded by family💜
