Myomectomy was how I got pregnant - took probably 7 years to get a doctor to take me seriously. Then once I was diagnosed (FINALLY) I had surgery within like 6 weeks.

It’s simply not true that this isn’t discussed or pursued. A lot of people just don’t know much about conditions that make getting and staying pregnant difficult. There’s not one diagnostic test or treatment that will be the magic wand of infertility. And there aren’t cures for many chronic diseases like PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids etc. you can have surgery multiple times or even suppression and it will still come back. But you can time a pregnancy to work within the effectiveness window following treatment.

My fertility doctor was the first to find my endometriosis after a decade of seeing various doctors. So I don’t buy this. Fertility doctors have several goals in mind and want to support the patients goals. If your goal is a baby then yes going straight to IVF is the best option.

I went through extensive testing even after we got explanation which was male factor. We had to absolutely do ivf

This!!! I’m glad my clinic is really trying to figure this all out for me and going beyond what others . They are trying to address the issues for me BEFORE IVF
