She doesn’t seem to want to acknowledge that the federal government bought and paid for a pipeline to be built

I'm so tired of talking about pipelines. we don't need a new pipeline. our current pipelines are not even operating at capacity. this is a waste of time and tax payer dollars

We need a new pipeline as the TMX is at capacity and almost 70% of Canadians support it.

If you want a pipeline, does it make sense to throw the province into political chaos? Instability does not attract capital.

Conservative Governments do not get pipelines built. They like to prop up the Oil and Gas Industry, but at the end of the day it’s the same old rhetoric.

How about this…a pipeline to Kitimat is never going to happen. The severe weather with the low changing tide is detrimental to the most pristine fishing area in the world. A freighter ran aground in 2009 due to this. The government is currently looking at dredging the Burrows Inlet to let Aframax freighters through (capacity 1.2M barrels).

The original TMX across the mountains was built in 36 months without the coquihala highway in 1952, and First Nations were given 1800 dollars for it running through their territory as accommodation with almost no consultation. Things have changed but the mindset behind how fast we should be able to build these pipelines has not and until consultation is done correctly, it will continue to take 10 years to do… Danielle smith has set industry back 15 years with her ‘jam it through at all cost’ approach.

Indeed, your assessment is entirely accurate. The UPC is challenging the constitutional treaty framework, specifically Treaty 8, which extends into British Columbia. This action is undermining the relationship between industries and First Nations. The separatist ideology is no longer a viable consideration.

Work and environmental standards weren't the same in the past and that is a good thing. Projects could still move that fast if it wasn't for politicians doing anything they can to block any potential progress that could be credited to another political party. Politicians would rather a project fail so they can use the failure as political leverage rather than a project succeed and be better for Canadians.
