My best year was $280k. They let me go this year for making to much money they hired 2 guys to replace me for less. Highest producing tech. Was doing 4 times the quantity everyone else did. I cleared 25% of total shop production we had 12 techs. Doesn’t pay to be good at what you do anymore. There’s zero loyalty

bro I'm a heavy equipment mechanic for a certain 5 letter company and make less than $67k on my best years. They only get away with it bc they offer "bonus" but that really only works when you can beat the time that some pencil pusher engineer said was the time it took to do it. So most of the time I'm getting fucked.

Alright. Bobby. I’m 19 I have 2 years of auto tech from highschool and almost two years of actual shop experience, the most money I made at a shop was $20/hr and I’ve only ever worked on flat rate place but they didn’t get enough business to get me that flat rate pay. Should I go to a mom and pops shop and work hourly for like $25 if I can or find a decent dealership

Diesel techs make $100K easily....if you want to make the good money, it's in the heavy equipment. Straight outta high school and a diesel program, apprenticeships make over $30 an hour!

hell even us tech b guys, im not a electric diag guy, are worth pur weight lol. om not gonna say im 100k worth but... like 60k? hell yeah. I shouldn't be struggling to make 37k 😭 but its Louisiana (smallish town) and this dealership is close to my house but nissan 😭😭
