I live in Minnesota as well as genuinely curious why perennial ryegrass as opposed to TTTF with Kentucky blue? Don’t the weird blades ruin the aesthetics of the rest of the yard? Am I googling the wrong type? I see split heads for ryegrass.

I have a spot like this with compacted soil, my backyard has tall rescue, I use Jonathan Green’s black beauty ultra. Would you recommend using the product in your video here to help fix my lawn? And if so, should I spread the new stuff down throughout my lawn?

Northern MN here; my question is how do I get my Tuff turf after dark seed take over my existing lawn…..I’ve patched some bare spots which are now darker than the existing lawn. I have overseeded once which did thicken the lawn but didn’t change to look to the darker tone.
