I think you’re confusing dysautonomia symptoms for POTS symptoms. Dysautonomia is the larger category and POTS is a smaller subset.

I swear I have pots. SO many of these symptoms, fainted 2 years ago and was told it was vasovagal syncope (it was a super stressful time of life), had another pre-syncope episode and cardiologist said “your heart test was normal, I don’t think it’s pots” 🤦🏻♀️

Would you consider what I deal with POTs? Heart palpitations, light headed, vomit feeling, shivering or unnaturally cold even when its blazing hot, passing out. But its relaxes after drinking a bunch of water (been told its because I was dehydrated)

My doctor told me it was all anxiety and not to call unless I had a physical lump on my throat or can’t breathe. I had to change my doctor. Most don’t have a clue

So, any idea what helps? My daughter has all of these symptoms and we are awaiting a 24 hour ecg. She definitely has flare ups where she has really bad weeks and in fact weirdly I think it’s when she’s not done more sport (she’s obsessed with sport but right now football and rugby season have both finished). I’m wondering whether she needs to be active everyday to help elevate symptoms.

My daughter... high heart rate, punding chest or squeezing sensation with normal HR, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, loss of appetite, anxiety, panic, tics, flushing, headaches, nausea, blurred vision, difficulty focusing, and MCAS.

I have all of these, plus my eyes will feel like their shaking back and forth and my heart races for now reason…have had every cardiac work up and the tilt table test but everything is fine or “normal”
