@leacabrini: What actually drives a $1.2B exit in under 3 years? If you listen to the guy who actually did it, the answer is simple: the team. When asked about the reasons behind their hypergrowth, Chad Janis, the Founder of Gruns, said that the absolute most important thing is the team. They built a culture of accountability and autonomy, which means every team member acts like the CEO of their domain. In Chad's words: "When you take 130 people who are CEO of their own function and stack that together, you end up in a place like we just have ended up this week." So how do you build a culture like that? A culture of accountability and autonomy can only be built by hiring the right people. People who can handle autonomy and actually want it. But autonomy without clarity doesn’t work. Goals need to be clear so people focus on the right things. Clarity also drives accountability. You can’t own outcomes if you don’t know what success looks like. There's a lesson in there. Hire great people, give them ownership, and get out of their way. #marketing #gruns #hiring #founder #ceo

alphaglutamate :
I just looked it up I would be surprised if this product is on the shelf in 5 years and if Unilever recoup their investment. the reason for scaling was social media hype. they are now peak hype. the problem with hype products is they never transition to staples. either way amazing exit by that guy.
