I am fortunate to have been born in Singapore, at KK Hospital, and I truly appreciate the stability, safety, and opportunities this nation has given us. Thank you our pioneers But as we move towards SG100, we must also encourage those who were not born here — yet now call Singapore home — to understand how fragile and precious this small nation really is. Singapore’s survival was never guaranteed. It was built through sacrifice, discipline, unity, and the hard work of generations before us. No matter where we come from, if we choose to live here and benefit from this country, we should also care deeply about protecting its future, social harmony, and long-term survival for the next generation.
