Young Mathias :
I legitimately witnessed an instance where a hotshot driver fired up the engine in extreme cold with a fully loaded trailer behind them and tried to drive up I70 in Colorado and the rings didn’t heat up evenly, and the second ring land failed because it was so brittle from the cold and undergoing a boost condition immediately. I believe it was a 7.3 powerstroke, maybe around the same generation. Super rare find, never thought I’d see that happen again 😳

300k over 20 years isn't a ton of driving

that thing would run another 300k just like that, it would have either stayed in place or spit out the exhaust at some point, but she'd kept going no problem

It did the dance trying to escape 🤣 I had bent valves do that to the middle ring land with no signs of damage to top of all four on a 06 ford escape ? Cylinder head junk

I had a 7.3 blow up and the piston looked similar. I never tore it down to figure out what happened
