I appreciate your take! I was so embarrassed to tell my newer artist I need a cover up, but after two visits I finally told him what I needed covered up, and he did a great job. Now I can take my shirt off!! He had no shame for the previous artist…I wouldn’t even call the original “art”. Now I got my body back! I’ll definitely be traveling from the valley to the Okanagan to get a piece from you 💐💐👏👏👏

I've only got one tattoo covered up . loved for 18 years , it was for my husbnad ...I knew our 20 year marrage was over . be fore we broke up got it covered up 3 months before he left . it was part of my healing . 👌🌸🌹it was mako g me sad now when I see the new ink I remebr my power ;)

❤️Thank you Honestly I feel like the mentality that some artists have about cover-ups and touch-ups is toxic. Artists retire or just stop doing tattoo work. Artists relocate & so do their clients. Artists may simply decide they don't want to rework or touch up their old work. It treats the art as it's own seperate entity belonging to the artist & not a part of the person. Like...what are we, colonists? You don't own that person's body just because you tattooed them. It's only a few steps away from justify putting your signature on a person's body without their permission. It's weird.
