that's a solid advice. i spent a year just building a gym habit and some mental healing before deciding to go on calorie deficit to lost that old fat.

I did start in a deficit but changed my outlook on it, if I mess up it’s okay carry on tomorrow, or if I want something sweet have it in moderation, I used to be all or nothing ! 4st down now

I went to a weight management clinic. I was only a 6 month program. The first 3 months they had us on a specially designed shake. It was doctor monitored the entire time. 900 calories a day. I did lose a lot of weight while on those shakes, but it also broke me of all my bad food habits. During those 6 months we also participated in a 1.5 hour weekly class led by either a dietitian, a kinesiologist, or a Social worker. This armed me with the knowledge to build healthy habits after the shakes.

this! I started by tracking nutrition (vitamins and such) then by adding fiber, and then by subbing small things for healthier. I am not completely changed but I'm down 45kg in a year.

I did this. After a lifetime of yoyo dieting I focused on intuitive eating. In the beginning, I put on weight but trusted the process. Now, I rarely think of food and eat what I like while slowly losing weight every single month. It's slow due to hypothyroidism but healing my relationship with food is priceless.

I love this I wish someone had told me this like fifteen years earlier before I had to learn it myself in hard lessons. Now, for the past five years I've been working on these problems as well as a calorie deficit and I'm able to lose weight and sustain it too!

Any tips for someone that really struggles with their diet? I find that even at 21 I haven’t grown out of the “fussy eater” phase and as a result have a really restricted diet, not for a lack of trying honestly I just can’t bring myself to eat new things😭 currently managing the weight by training 4 times a week but I’m just stuck around 90kg

I am trying to do the healing phase. It is so dang hard but also sooooo healing to see me eating more than I was in a deficit and not putting any weight on but feeling my strength sky rocket!

I started ozempic over a year ago. I was still eating the things i liked, just didn't have cravings for the absolute crap and the amounts of it I'd ingest. I lost 25kg. I only started proper diet like a week ago. focusing on eating enough protein and low cholesterol. my head is so okay with diet when I don't struggle with food noise and get to focus on losing weight, but on giving my body enough nutrients

Didn’t matter how little I ate, how many weights I lifted I couldn’t lose a lb. Learning how to manage my blood sugar and autoimmune disease is what did it. I’m still very large but I feel good now. And I have energy. And I naturally eat a TON less. And I eat very healthy. I feel like this is the piece I’ve been missing fs. Been completely mind changing and I think my body is going to follow after.
