This is exactly why I love the idea of universal healthcare and will never vote for it. It is great in theory and TERRIBLE in practice! Private competitive healthcare without these corrupt insurance companies will be the best total outcome because you get rid of this bureaucracy. We obviously need legislative oversight but not total government control.

I was so pissed when a dentist made me come for X-rays and eval, then come back for half a mouth cleaning, then come back a 3rd time for the other half of the mouth. thanks, now I know why.

As a licensed foster parent this is so relevant to kids in care….we have so few dentists that see Medicaid patients and getting my kiddos access to quality care requires an hour drive. So frustrating! Please keep speaking out about this issue!

Yeah I’d love to see some numbers behind this because it’s not true from what I’ve seen. Maybe it’s different in Washington but in Ohio and Kentucky it’s $150-$200 per visit. And the CFOs of these clinics have their salaries all posted online and it’s 200-300k for the majority in the Midwest.

My favorite part of having dental insurance is that they only cover $1,000-1,500 a year, which doesn’t even cover a root canal/crown so the majority of your dental work is out of pocket if you need anything other than fillings done.

I have been seeing nurses talk about how there isn't a shortage on nurses. its just that nurses have lost faith in our health care system. More nurses are turning toward holistic options.

Same with medicine, we are private practice, we clear only cents in revenue to care for Medicaid patients. Won’t stop treating anyone based on crappy reimbursements but it’s frustrating.
