@jesslitras: I promised myself I would never get attached to a dog like this. I’d never treat them as if they were a human. And before I could even catch my breath, I was immediately in love and telling her my name was mommy. Life has become slower, intentional, more beautiful, and 1,000x richer with my golden retriever.
