@mama1roro: Ms. Suzie is one of Roman’s favorite people, and if you know their relationship, that probably doesn’t surprise you. Roman ran over to invite Ms. Suzie to come sit on the front porch with us, but before he even made it there, she was already waiting at the end of the driveway. Mr. Wade had mentioned earlier that Roman had run out of cookies, so of course Ms. Suzie already had a bag in her hand for him. That’s just who she is. She remembers the little things. She makes room for Roman’s big feelings, listens to every story, and has a way of making him feel like whatever matters to him matters to her too. As his mom, I’ll always make sure Roman knows he’s loved. But there’s something special about watching your child be loved by people outside of your home too. And somewhere along the way, Ms. Suzie became more than our neighbor. She became part of Roman’s little world, one of the people he looks for, runs to, and knows always has room for him. 💙 #RomanAce1
