I know a guy who turned a 10,000 gallon manure tank into a tender for the sprayer. No class one needed

Option c, too much land for your operation. Farm less.

I threw a 6000gal tank up this spring, our well water works with a conditioner, but I have it plumbed up so I can load it with hauled water as well if I need. Works good when it’s too windy or a guy has a minute to stock pile water.

One person I can do 1000 acres a day at 5gpa which works perfectly fine for burnoff. Or with see and spray I do 10gpa still lasts all day.

Set this up this spring. 6,000 gallons. Have 14,000 gallons in storage tanks and 15,000 in a cistern. I refill them from a dugout when I have time.

Buy some poly tanks and haul water to them when you aren’t busy and then draw from them when you spray. Doesn’t solve every problem but should be cost effective.

Sounds like your best option would be to fix the farm water

use a pump and a filter and pump out of a dough to fill it much faster and dont have to run that far at all

Why not get a couple of large tanks for storage on farm? Then have water available closer by and reduce the time getting water in town. And fill tanks to farm when the sprayer isn’t going

Maybe add some ams or Citrix acid to your water then?

We just get a guy to come out and fill the trailer, $250 a load. Cheaper then paying a guy and wear and tear on equipment.

Our opinion is to have a tender truck driver if you can find one. Even if you pay him to sit most the time and just move feild to feild and go for water it’s worth it for the hose to be out and pump always fueled up sprayer guy wheels in loads and goes. Some people will have a central fill station to avoide the trailer but it’s not worth it for the sprayer guy if it’s a busy day and your behind. Personally I would say in your situation try to hire someone that trailer looks just fine we got a similar setup. All this being said we still stuck with the 4730 and 800 gallon tank so 5 sprayer fills per load of water with the truck.

buy the dash then equip a foam system on it and drag it around during harvest as a fire suppression system makes its a little easier too pencil out when deciding how too spend/budget your finances. just an idea. ultimately it comes down too what you value your time/hour, buy the trailer invest in the equipment you already hemerage too 3 hired hands

Get a 9000 gal oil tanker converted with a deck in the back, saved the $230,000 and spend it elsewhere. Or buy an old trailer off ritchie brothers and put 3-4000gal tanks on it… I don’t see the value in a DASH for the price of a full trailer unit.

Easier to upgrade iron than find competent help, usually cheaper in the long run as well.
