If this was a weather or ATC delay, no airline gives any compensation since it’s out of their control. If it’s mechanical or crew issue, then you are entitled to a travel credit voucher and food voucher. If your stuck overnight then they are supposed to give you a hotel voucher as well

Just had the same sort of terrible experience with Frontier yesterday. My flight from LGA to CLT was delayed several times and then canceled and they couldn’t get me in a flight until FRIDAY! Four days later. No hotel voucher, no help to get anywhere safe. I asked them what I was supposed to do if I couldn’t pay for a hotel for 4 days and the employee told me I could sit in the airport. For FOUR DAYS! Literally insane. I was “lucky” that someone was able to help me book a bus home until frontier gives me my refund in 7-10 business days. Because waiting four days in the airport was absolutely NOT an option.

My family was on this Frontier flight. After hours of delays, they boarded 230+ passengers, seated everyone, then canceled the flight. Families, children, and elderly diabetic passengers were stranded overnight with little assistance, no hotel accommodations for many, and no clear plan. We recorded everything.
