I got a bag of chips listed for $2.50, rang up $3.00. I went to customer service to get my .50 refunded b/c I need it more than Walmart and it’s the principal of it. And the customer service lady looked at me and said “it was only .50, you want that back? YES I DO.

Just an FYI, this isn’t a better business bureau issue, it’s a Federal Trade Commission issue and it is taken very seriously with them. I HIGHLY suggest you contact them. This is illegal.

I just don’t understand how someone making so little money puts up such a huge fuss about pricing in a store like Walmart! It makes no sense! I will never fight for a company that’s cares nothing for me as an employee. If something rings up for $3, guess what!? You get it for $3. It’s the same deal with the penny items people find at Home Depot.

In Canada there is a policy that if the price that rings up is different than the sign or in the flyer then they have to give us the item for the price it rings up minus $10. If the item is less than $10 it’s free. This policy is on a sign at all cash registers. Including Walmart btw.

In Texas we have the department of weights and measures. They investigate things like this. It is at the state level. Maybe you have something like this in your state that you can report It to.

I got AirPods Pro’s from Walmart and they rang up wrong but their price still said a sale price. They easily just gave me the sale price as the tag was still up

this has happened to me a few times. I never spoke up because it felt disrespectful to the employee who is not at fault. but when you said the waltons disrespectful...that's when I said to myself no more. thank you!

The other day I was buying some jeans that said the clearance price was $9. I scanned it with my phone to make sure it was 9. I scanned it at self checkout, it rung up at 15. I told the employee, he said it must be 9 on the online store only. I then show him on my app that it says in store price. So yes I believe you!

The first person (your cashier) should’ve either adjusted the price or called the department to confirm then adjusted the price. “Sorry about that ma’am”, then move on. If it had somehow gotten to my “big manager” you would have left with $3 shoes (we can’t give them to you for free) and a $20 gift card as well as a personal apology. This is not ALL Walmarts.
