We need low dose CT scans for everyone! My brother who has NEVER smoked even 1 cigarette was just diagnosed with stage IV non small cell lung cancer.

So I quit 25 years ago. Why would I not need annual CT? I had a 25 year history of smoking. I’m 74 now. Very healthy.

I quit smoking 23 years ago, recently had a pet scan that showed lung emphysema and a nodule. I will continue to get the scan once a year to monitor. If I hadn’t quit, I’m sure I would have died already. After traveling around the world and living in other countries that have air pollution, 2.5 pm and higher, I’m grateful for the air quality in the U.S.

I’m 52. I quit 5 years ago. My PCP order me 1 every year. Apparently you have to do it 15 years. Takes 10 minutes and insurance pays for it
