I completely dissociated when the lactation consultant was roughly expressing for me. I never asked her to, I was perfectly capable doing it myself but she was determined 🥴 I refused to see her after that.

I didn't get a lactation consultant for either of my kids but I did make a crying phone call with my health nurse who came to my house for a whole afternoon to help me feed my son 😄

The first baby they told me my baby had to be screaming before I put him on the boob. I looked at them with a but if he is so worked up he won't latch because he will be too busy screaming. they were admitted that he needed to be screaming

Lactation consultants ruined my whole birth experience. I received a written apology from a major Sydney hospital with assurance that they’d never approach me again for future births which was to occur. I had a large sign on my door banning them from entering my room on two more occasions.
