Why are ppl acting like base camp is summiting Everest. Base camp is like a week to do and no where near as expensive and not as dangerous, still has some risks but it’s not bad and if you are fit and in good health and wanna do it I’d say you should

base camp is a super hard journey. did it in 2024. amazing experience but even as someone who is super active the altitude made it so difficult

Guys they only went to base camp, not the summit. The summit is what the ethical controversies are about (& I agree people shouldn’t go up there) but base camp is literally fine?? And it’s nowhere near as expensive. Please don’t just
