Ian :
Y’all, watch the voice drama. I think we should vote Amane innocent. Not because what she did is okay but because this isn’t a case of someone who understands and chooses evil. It’s a 12 yr old who was raised inside something that completely rewired her sense of right and wrong. And the thing abt the 3rd trial shows that she’s finally starting to question it. She literally asked “is it okay to be incorrect?”. Because for Amane, being “wrong” isn’t just making a mistake, it means her whole life, her identity, everything she was taught could collapse.
Es even tells her she doesn’t have to figure everything out right now, that she can change, that she can take time. And for the first time, she doesn’t get punished for doubting, she gets space to think. Even Shidou, even Mahiru, and the people affected by her actions, still, in their own way, showed her that she isn’t beyond becoming someone different. That there’s still a path forward.
So do we let a child stay trapped in what she was taught or do we finally give her the chance to become something else? It doesn’t matter if you like her or not because there are still consequences. But that’s exactly why this vote matters.
