When I first met my wife and her kids, we were at Walmart when her son suddenly eloped, and I ran after him and brought him back safely. On the drive home, my wife was crying because she thought I was going to leave, but seven years later we’re still together, and I officially adopted her kids.

‼️Also want to mention I obviously have locks and alarms. He’s extremely smart and can figure out locks fast! Right now we have locks that he hasn’t figured out yet.‼️

One my students was a runner. We got him into cross country when he was in 7th grade. That boy LOVES to run! He’s a senior and I’m so proud of him!!! 😭 I would still attend all his cross country events. As he ran by me I could hear two things, “Move my feet! Move my feet” And “HI MRS ART TEACHER!!!!”❤️😭❤️I miss my runner.🏃🏽♂️

First time my kiddo did this she was only 2, in a diaper and jacket in early spring.. I was helping my 1 year old tie a shoe and she was out of sight SO FAST!! I had to call 911 because I spent 5 min looking everywhere and couldnt find her.. I had the entire neighborhood looking for her while I raced around like a maniac crying and calling her name I knew she wouldn’t come to.. officers came fast and she was found about 35 min later almost 1/2 a mile away with a damn yard flamingo she picked up somewhere on her adventure… longest moments of my LIFE!!!

one time i was home with my autistic daughter preparing to go to church so i locked all the doors so that i can go to the bathroom but as i had started bathing i heard her open the main door didnt know this girl knew how to,Jesus Christ i first forgot the towel and realised that already at the door and i just got the table cloth to run after her .Every day i pray for Patience God give all autism parents patience our struggle is real🙌

My best friends daughter is an escape artist too, she now has a service dogs that is trained in tracking her. She is nonverbal and they have all the locks and alarms too.

Girl my neighbor growing up was an eloper and his mama would chase him everywhere lol I asked if I could help one day and she said “PLEASE!!!” From that day forward I took over every escape attempt I was home for. It was fun for me then but now as a mom I realize how stressed that poor lady was!
