That flight attendant needs to be fired! She was notified of a medical emergency & did nothing! She was rude, careless & likely racist! I asked her to bring a drink to Noah & she rolled her eyes at me as if to say she didn’t want to serve him! When Noah notified her of the medical emergency & that we needed to disembark as soon as the plane docked, she did nothing! It wasn’t until my grand daughter started throwing up that anyone even attempted to make way for us! I’m ticked off too at the flight attendant & wish I had got her name! She needs to retire, quit or be fired! Someone with her attitude & lack of care should not be tolerated by Southwest Airlines! The fact that the entire fight crew walked by us in baggage claim & didn’t acknowledge the situation is also infuriating! We even called 911 & asked for help in terminal 5 baggage claim & no one showed up to help us! We ended up dealing with it by ourselves as we we scared & not knowing if she was going to be OK 😡

as a nurse, it is YOUR job to make sure she has glucose/ sugar and YOU are prepared. Its not up to the flight attendant, ur uber driver or the hotel to make sure YOUR child is ok

All these comments saying “you can’t rely on anyone else it’s your problem” is actually CRAZY. A civilised and compassionate society depends on people recognising that we are all part of a wider community. Caring for others, ESPECIALLY children with complex health needs should never be seen as “someone else’s problem.” Humanity is measured by the depth of our empathy, understanding, and willingness to support those who are vulnerable. Looking after one another is not just the “parents job” it’s EVERYONES, it is part of what makes society work with dignity and compassion. So if you’re seeing this as only the parent’s responsibility you need to check yourself.

I’m a diabetic and while I always bring low snacks, sometimes it’s not enough and you run out. They should have helped you! Hope she is ok now 🙏🏻

As someone who has low blood sugar and my body eats up any sugar very quickly even with snacks since your body takes it so quickly it doesn’t last long and if left not attended for a long time even with snacks you will get symptoms it’s not that easy as you think omg 😭

As a T1 parent I don’t leave the house without everything my son could need at any moment for his medical needs. While they absolutely should have been better, it’s our responsibility to ensure the safety of our children.
