Have you gotten that there are fathers anointing and blessing. David was anointed a king but before David there was Saul kingship anointing so no matter how he backslid the Anointing is still at work as far as God is concerned so he has the ability to blessed David and even to impart the anointing of The Benjeminth as 1 kings 17:35 say Saul prayed for David.
