@caseyklauckkramer: If consultations make you nervous as a new aesthetician, here’s something I wish someone told me sooner 👇🏼 The goal of a consultation is NOT to prove how much you know. It’s to understand the person sitting in front of you. Some of the biggest shifts for me happened when I stopped trying to jump straight into solutions and started getting curious instead. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲: ✨ "Can you show me what you're seeing?" ✨ "What do you love about your skin and want to maintain?" ✨ "Walk me through your routine." 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼. 👉🏻 "Scarring" to one person could mean texture. 👉🏻 To someone else, it could mean pigmentation. And if we skip clarification, we can end up solving the wrong problem. Also... don't underestimate the power of taking notes. 📝 It sounds simple, but when someone sees you writing things down, it quietly says: "I'm listening." And trust starts getting built before you've even recommended a treatment.
