Slightly off topic hot take but somewhat related - People don't actually hate Stellarblade, they just hate the people who play it because they seem to be the only people yelling about how much people hate Stellarblade. Yet when I ask anyone else, they say that they don't really have a problem with the game at all.

The ironic thing is that the access journalism issue with games is directly linked to the audience demanding reviews in such a short period of time because of the 24 hour news cycle. Also add in people carrying water for corporations instead of people and specifically journalists and you realize the people complaining are one of the main causes of the problem. Like you said though it was never about ethics in journalism.

I only played Depression Quest because of the bs. and, as a mental health professional for 30 yrs who also takes meds and is in therapy, that game was good. It was a text game. it wasn't Mass Effect. the game mechanic of not being able to choose some options but still see them as options was great.
