This is exactly why I believe our education system is missing something important. We spend years preparing people for careers and academics, yet very little time is dedicated to understanding healthy relationships, emotional intelligence, communication, personality traits, boundaries, acceptance, and the long-term impact of choosing a life partner. So many of society’s struggles can be connected to unhealthy or misunderstood relationships heartbreak, loneliness, toxic dynamics, narcissistic behaviour, domestic and physical abuse, parental alienation, mental health struggles, and even suicide in some cases. One of the most important decisions we ever make is who we choose to build a life and family with, and of course, with that union we often create the miracles we call children. Yet many people are never truly taught how to recognise healthy versus unhealthy behaviour before entering relationships. Hopefully, one day, education systems will evolve to place greater importance on relationship awareness, emotional wellbeing, acceptance, and understanding people on a deeper level, because the effects of relationships can shape lives, families, and future generations.🙏🏾🤎🙏🏾🤎🙏🏾

You don't choose a partner based on who they are — you choose based on who you become when you're with them. If you feel small, anxious, or apologetic around them, it's not love — it's attachment to familiar pain. If you feel calm, curious, and safe, that's not luck — that's alignment. Your nervous system knows before your mind does. Pay attention to how your body feels, not just your heart.

The interesting thing is people change. In a decade, if you marry someone who exercised that person can suddenly stopped. You literally have to choose that partner not only once but over and over again for decades to come (as they change and you change)

Not true… you adapt, and so do they. You change over years. I’ve been married 9 years. I and she has changed massively in those years.

I just don’t want to live with someone anymore. If I knew now when I was young. I would never marry or live in the same house, as my partner, next door would be fine lol.

Nah, I'm good. Alone but not lonely. Stacking money, protecting my peace, quietly rebuilding my life with more intention, focus and self-care. A relationship should add to my life, not subtract from or complicate it. I no longer chase. I choose.

I’m like, “ya, it’s so important”, then I remembered all the years I thought I wasn’t good enough for my husband. But he showed me a better way and now we are at 27 years of happiness. But I was improving my flaws and so was he the entire time, and that is the key to success.
