the Hartford incident is different because they're saying that the officer who arrived last escalated the situation. That doesn't mean though he should get hurt because he didn't use great de-escalation techniques.

Second person was in more danger. Idk what I would’ve done in the first situation but they can’t just walk down the street forever. Non lethal might’ve been best there considering there were also 4 officers. I’m just guessing though I have no idea

Reasonable and articulable. That’s the standard. What would a reasonable cop do in the same situation without the benefit of hindsight combined with the articulation of specific facts and circumstances
