#1 I was dedicated to keeping my son away from Ipads and cellphones. Hes 16 now, and appreciates that I did that for him - because he can literally tell who among his friends were raised by iPad - and understands the harm it causes. Didn't have a cellphone until he was 13 and I HAD to because he was doing too much (sports, etc).

If you don’t know what gentle parenting actually is don’t speak on it. I’m so sick of people usually non parents, talking down on gentle parenting when their only experience with it is from social media videos. Then the whole time it’s PERMISSIVE parenting being displayed not gentle parenting which is also known as ASSERTIVE parenting which is actually the best form of parenting to use for kids.

i agree 99%. gentle parenting does not mean parenting without consequences. the consequences have to match the wrong doing. there just isnt hitting and a shouting. children are just small humans and deserve to be treated with the respect of one. what you described in point 2 is something called submissive parenting. totally different.
