@futurern_nursing: When your patient is breathing too fast (hyperventilating), they are literally blowing away their acid (CO2)! 💨📉 The Breakdown: 1️⃣ pH: 7.52 (High = Respiratory alkalosis). 2️⃣ PaCO2: 28 (Low = Respiratory cause). 3️⃣ HCO3: 24 (Normal = Uncompensated). The Logic: Since the CO2 (acid) is low, the pH goes up. Because the Bicarb (HCO3) hasn't stepped in to help yet, it’s currently uncompensated. The Goal: Slow down that breathing! Whether it’s anxiety, pain, or a fever, we need to get that CO2 back in the lungs. 🛡️✨ Drop a 🫁 if you’re mastering ABGs this week! #NursingStudent #ABGs #NursingSchool #NCLEXPrep #NurseLife
