@word.rock.drills: This project in Helena, Montana marked the first directional drilling style application that we know of for a WORD Rock Drill. Crews were tasked with installing city water lines down a steep mountainside above a growing neighborhood, all while drilling below the frost line at a 20-degree angle beneath the slope. The EX125 was outfitted with 21’ of travel, a clamp breaker, and the additional 14,000 ft-lb feed option to provide the extra push and pull force needed for the demanding application.
