My grandma made this when I was young. East end of London in the 1970s.... it's delicious and I haven't seen it in years! Beef casserole and dumplings were her other speciality.

My Yorkshire Nana made it often, she called it “Dead Man’s Arm Pudding” because when she was a kid it was boiled in an old shirt sleeve. Not the most appealing name but it was lush! She put cooked bacon and cooked sausage in hers. She did sweet versions too, my favourite was stuffed with stewed rhubarb and served with custard.

Not a traveler and never had bacon pudding, I have no idea what all the negatives comments are about, nothing to dislike about it and seems like a really good meal especially if you are short on cash or don’t fancy a full on roast
