Apparently something huge happened to Capitalism. There’s a StarTrek episode where it doesn’t exist. Captain Kirk and the crew found a man frozen in time. They brought him on the ship and he started asking where his money was from the Stock Market and they told him it didn’t exist. We’re approaching that moment.

I've been skirting the word hope lately, but struggling to put my attitude to words and usually end up somewhere close to "I refuse to give up on the idea of a better world and giving into hopelessness is a slap in the face to everyone who came before me". this really helped me to reframe why I've been so avoidant of leaning on hope
