@ustheremingtons: You think sharing this is vulnerable? Imagine three doctors looking deep in your tunnel 😂😅 Lichen sclerosus is a chronic skin condition that causes pale, white patches on the skin, most often in the genital and anal areas, leading to symptoms like itching, pain, and in some cases, scarring. While the exact cause is unknown, it is believed to be an autoimmune condition possibly linked to genetics, hormonal changes, and past skin damage. The primary treatment involves topical corticosteroids to manage symptoms and prevent progression, and ongoing care includes gentle hygiene and moisturizers. Lichen sclerosis has literally become my life because I have to manage it daily as it went undiagnosed and misdiagnosed for so so long! Grateful to finally be in such incredible care. Dr Leclair truly makes me feel heard, is so patient, and so gentle and understanding. Trust her with my life! #lichen #womenshealth #womenshealthcare #obgyn #momsover30

Can you explain why it could possibly turn to cancer? Is that a common concern you have to watch for?

I’ve been a Mayo advocate and patient for over 30 years. Metastatic Breast cancer patient here. I’ve always said yes to residents. How else are they going to learn, from talented physicians? 🥰🥰🥰

I always say yes for students and those in training to come in! I work in healthcare as a respiratory therapist (lung girlie) and I’m grateful for my hands on training in school

Im going for a biopsy next month and a little nervous about it all? Do you have a video talking about the biopsy process? I’ve been suspecting I might have this and recently went in to go get checked out. Also what treatment are there? I haven’t done so much research yet but going to start soon.
