@calmmoneycoach: The estate planning conversation almost no Canadian family is having If something happened to you tomorrow, would your family know where to find your will, who your executor is, or what you actually wanted? For most Canadians the answer is no. This is the conversation nobody wants to have. Five ways to open the door this week, the one thing that matters more than the will itself, and why doing it imperfectly is still doing it. I’ll go back over topics in here still for estate planning please feel free to toss out suggestions. Gifting, executors, and some trust stuff like Henson trusts I want to hit on still.

Lost my husband last year. I’m proud to say, we were organized in all aspects. Will, POA, insurances, passwords, etc. The grief is challenging and exhausting. I can’t imagine going through it on top of all the other issues had we not been organized. If you truly love your family, this should be a priority. Now I’m organizing my affairs for my kids, in the event something should happen to me.

Which province are you in and what qualifications do you have? I need some info on selling a house to arms length relative for less than assessed value.
