When you have the time head to the TRUE North Island. Telegraph Cove, Port McNeill, Port Hardy, Port Alice, and ferry jaunt to Alert Bay, and my home Sointula. Devils Bath Brew pub in Port McNeill has amazing beers, kombucha, and food.

When I moved here, I had so many people tell me "If you don't like the weather just wait an hour!" So true. 😂 Like most of us who make this our home, hopefully you will eventually embrace and fall in love with the rain. It's what brings us the gorgeous environment we have. There's a kind of peace that comes with it. 🌧️🌲🧘♂️🌲🥰

I'm very confused by holidays in the US. There don't seem to be many statutory holidays. Things that I thought would be, like 4th of July, places like Walmart and Target seem to be open. what holidays are minimum wage earners entitled to?

Just so you know, Port Alberni gets one of the highest rainfalls on the island. Being on the west or east of Mount Arrowsmith makes a huge difference. If you can, try some of the smaller islands for camping, Quaddra. Great experience!

I was born and raised in Port Alberni. Love Coombs market best Ice cream cones. Check out Trees Diner just a little before Coombs as they have the famous Apple Galettes. Also check out the Wildlife rehabilitation center in Errington amazing birds. So much to see on the island😃

We generally don’t call it Macmillan Provincial Park, everyone calls it Cathedral Grove . It’s so fun watching new comers experience our island!

Port Alberni also has what's called "the hole in the wall" it's a little walk to get to, but a super neat experience 😁 welcome to the island 🥰
