YES! It is going to get SO much better in college, I promise you. I was a total loner at my high school in Florida but went on to college in NYC, made (a few) amazing friends, had a successful career in fashion and ended up in Los Angeles. I’m now married and have a daughter who’s a freshman in college. She also really struggled with friends, anxiety and OCD in high school. She’s now going to college in Europe and it’s wild how radically different she feels. She’s met interesting, smart,cool people—like herself—and is so much happier. Here’s the thing, high schools in the US are basically factories. They are “processing” young people to become “normal tax paying citizens” and people who won’t question Capitalism…but you are SMART. Smart people often feel lonely in high school because we don’t conform. Colleges naturally have many more intelligent,curious, sensitive students….you’ll find your people!❤️❤️❤️
