Emily | 3-Night Sleep Method :
You’ve got multiple issues happening at once: over tiredness from late bedtime, learned dependencies (need you to fall asleep + sleeping in your bed), and stalling tactics (snacks). All fixable but you need to tackle them in order before baby arrives. First, cut the nap shorter (1.5 hrs max) or earlier so bedtime can move to 7-8pm. Second, once bedtime is earlier, use gradual withdrawal to teach them to fall asleep without you in the bed. Third, silent return for nighttime wake-ups. Walk them back to their beds calmly, no talking, every single time. Tackle them one at a time if you can (separate rooms temporarily?) or they’ll feed off each other. Good luck! 💪

Sounds cruel but barricade the door and put a monitor in there. Let them figure it out themselves. My parents did that. I had bad insomnia as a kid. My parents were big on do what you want but stay in the room. Sometimes I fell asleep on the floor. Eventually it got to a point where I fell asleep pretty easily

maybe find some things that can stay in their room that will encourage them to want to stay in their room longer?

I'm not a parent personally, but I watched a lot of supernanny 😆 so I hope this helps... but her tactic is basically starting off by putting them to bed, turning the light off and saying goodnight. The first time they come out, you remind them it's bedtime. I think every time after that you just carry them right back to their bed!

I babysat twins for two months, day in and day out. I felt for naps and bed times they would do everything possible to keep EACH-OTHER awake.. especially with a shared room! maybe it’s just a twin thing 🤷‍♀️

My son just turned 4.. he hasn't napped since he was like 2.. if he sleeps in his room one of us has to lay down with him but he will sneak back in our bed around 3 am or wake up and asks one of us to go back to his room with him.. the struggle
