A protagonist doesn’t have to be a hero, it’s just the point of view the story is being told through. I miss when media understood that, cuz we had so many great characters through it, like Darth Vader and Walter White.

The movie was honestly carried by her acting alone. People overlook that none of these people were friends and they certainly didn't care about Nikki as a person. They were all just as bad as Bear. They were just coworkers who had nothing else going on so they hung out sometimes. Whatever bond they had when they were younger faded when they worked together. They never once did anything to check on her when they saw she was acting differently. They knew her better than Bear did and still did nothing to help her.
