I'm 1 of 6 fully grown kids and we all pitched in where we could to help Dad. All I could afford was to pay his ph bill. Dad didn't ask, I just bought him a new ph when his crashed and added him to my plan. I had a loving and wonderful father and I miss him everyday 💙

He isn’t asking for luxury items. He is asking for needs not wants. If you can afford it yes I think you should help, but so should the siblings. Maybe get him set up with other resources such as food stamps and such too, but yes you should make sure his basic needs are met.

There is a moral obligation to take care of your 84 year old parent if they're in financially difficulty and you're able to help them out!! How selfish and heartless this society has become!!! It's a me, me ,me society!!!

84?? His mobility may go down over time. Limited income. It’s time to have a sit down with siblings. Sell the home. & dad can live with a different sibling month to month or rotate every quarter. If dad sells the home, the money can be put in a bank account to help with his necessities for every day living such as hearing aids and etc..
