The youngest sibling must be fun to be? right? No. not for me not for you. Parents want us to meet the expectations they have made. wanting us to be better. So we try. we lie. we change. We change so much we don't know who we are anymore. We change so much our parents start expecting us to be like this all the time. Smiling. Joking. Laughing. But no. that's not who we are, we are overworked, overwhelmed, and they say "I am hoping you don't turn out to be like your sibling/s." we don't want to hear that. we never get a hug or a good praise for getting a good grade on a test. just a "that's your job." Well. while we sit here and rot and cry and scream trying the best we can to not turn into what our sibling/s have so we can be "better". We push ourselves to get a praise from our parents, anything that can show their acknowledgement of our hard work. but nothing. no "good job". just throwing the test or project in the trash. We think being exactly like our siblings is horrible because that is the image they have put into our heads. That being like them is a bad thing. but it's not. Because it's not true. we all are different. different stories, different personalities. But at the end of the day......We are still the youngest sibling.
