My friend volunteers for a Search and Rescue operation in WA state (won’t say which one) and he said he was told not to talk about these stairs as well. I’m surprised to hear others say the same thing.

There are occasionally stairs in the woods. They are always stone and very near a stone fireplace. The rest of the house was made of wood so it’s gone. People are so superstitious they have to make this simple event into something it never was.
