I work strictly work on Subarus at our shop. So it’s always nice seeing other people work on them. Funny enough it’s easier doing the Sparkplugs from the top atleast from my experience 😂

Looks like someone didn’t tighten their oil filter enough. Some of the microgard selects have p style gaskets and are torque to yield.

Anytime I have to check/replace coils or plugs on a Subaru I remove the bottom nuts for the motor mounts and jack up the engine. This provides wayyy more room to work from the top.

I just did the plugs on my Crosstrek and my saving grace was a 14-in long double-ended flex head ratchet. I could study the head with one hand and then my other hand was above the engine with all the room in the world to move. I was struggling so much before and that tool almost made me cry with relief.

How often should I replace plugs I have a 2020 grand Cherokee penstar engine. service manual says 100k should I go with that? Or sooner I’m currently at 80k with no issues.
