they like add a 20% damage buff if you’re not using auto chain. they have it as an incentive for learning the game. kinda really dumb in my opinion

manual just lets you fix mistakes on the fly, in theory, except for some very specific chain enablers, there is absolutely no damage difference if you play perfectly

My friend who is semi new to the game recently turned them off for the optimal Angels Of Delusion stun rotation. The issue is now in his other teams he sometimes doesnt activate the chain windows until he pops an ult and by then the window is mostly gone. So its something that is well registered within his Angles team/gameplay but with the other characters he has to basically relearn them and it is costing him points in Shiyu and DeadAss. But he is having fun, hes clawing for S ranks across all now but what once felt impossible now feels doable to him and its great seeing him get so close and keep improving.

I think for most of the community It boils down to 3 things. 1 thing the game casual players just aren't interested in learning it or really care about it they are primarily trying enjoy and game and get there clears and poly and thats it. The 2nd things is that it really hard mechanic to master and to get used to it which can discourage alot of players from wanting to use it or learn it. 3 not many people realize its a thing in the game and that you have to look at your settings to find it to being with. Thats just my hypothesis anyway 🤷🏽♂️

it's specially great with aria since you already have to hold her basic attack to do the plunge so the chain attack doesn't get triggered

as much as I would love to I'd rather keep zzz a relax game, I have to many stressful games and need a game where I can relax and chill so I use auto

for the players: manual chain won't make a difference if you don't know what to do with it you can't just magically turn it on and expect better performance without changing anything else you have to actually know where to apply it for it to actually matter

i still use auto and you need to have insanely fast reflexes to get extra damage and then reactivate the chain attack

As a zzz player just know manual chain attack and test for a month, I think manual chain attack is harder for skill issue player like me😔
