i agree. i have learned that attachment is a house built from habit, while love is a home built from choice. a person can sit in your rooms for years, memorize where you keep the light switches, know the sound of your footsteps, and still never intend to stay when the storms arrive. sometimes, they do not hold your hand because they are afraid to lose you; they hold it because they are afraid to feel the emptiness of having nothing to hold. attachment can resemble love so perfectly that it borrows its clothes, speaks in its voice, and sleeps in its place, but dawn always reveals what it truly is. because love does not only miss your presence when you are gone—it honors your existence even when staying becomes a decision that requires effort. and perhaps the truth is that someone can be comfortable with your warmth without ever being captivated by your fire.

I believe in my own guts though. I introduced him to every single one of my family — my mom, dad, grammy, pops, all my uncles.. all of the people that knows me also knows him. And the last time my tito asked him if we’re still talking through chats because we cut off connections, we don’t talk to each other, we’re just mutuals; and when we responded to what my uncle asked him, he told him the truth that he chatted me. Saying “I voluntarily chatted her because she is overthinking that I’m gonna find someone new. I’ll always wait for her.” Then he greeted my uncle. My uncle just said “okay, okay”. They are all so supportive about our relationship. But at the same time, continuously talking to each other will ruin each other’s peace of mind so instead, when we talked the whole night through this Sunday, we reassured each other and promised that we’ll improve for ourselves and for each other. We’ll focus on ourselves and once we are mentally stable, once we’ve brought out the best of us, we’ll come back to each other. We’ll let go of whatever bad happened in the past because as ling as the both of us are faithful and loyal to each other with integrity while we’re away from each other, we’ll make it. We both know that if one of us needs something especially if it’s urgent or if something bad happens, both of us will pick up. We both know that we love each other. And we can feel it deep in our hearts even thiugh we don’t say it anymore. God will look after the both of us when we’re absent to each other
