I was angry at this ending for a long time bc it felt like Simone didn’t get the happy ending he deserved, then I realized, this was enough to him. Giving hope to the future while appreciating the effort and loss it took to get there. His name may have been forgotten, but his actions gave birth to a better future and he was content with that.
