@theonlycanadianbacon: Replying to @mrs.Kay I’m not a journalist. I’m not an expert. I’m just a curious Canadian living in America. Also, research isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being honest enough to follow the facts… even when they challenge your own beliefs.

Definitely use Duck Duck Go, all of the results but are not prioritized by political views like Google is.

I have to keep in the back of mind that both Google and AI aren’t exactly trusted forms or points for research. So you have to look deeper.

AI helps with research as well. Gemini, Grok, etc., will give actual links to articles. The more sources you have, the better. You will never find all the info you're in just one article. Sometimes, especially in a news event, you have to read multiple articles from multiple biases and piece it all together to find out what actually happened.

Love this! Have a close friend who’s been a Poli Sci and government teacher for decades that does this exact thing w his kids. They can pick any topic they like, just have to cite 4 sources. Two each from both sides. teaches them critical thinking skills. Firmly believes students should never know teachers political beliefs.

Google gives me and my daughter different results for the same question. It makes it lean towards your opinions. It’s crazy.
