I was convinced by the doctor I had (not my doctor) to do the Foley balloon WITHOUT the epidural first for my medically necessary induction at 35 weeks. what a time that was 😂

If this gives you any comfort, I labored for 20 hours before my first C-section and the C-section was rough! Just had my second C-section that was scheduled and no labor before and it was 1 million times easier super simple process and not near as painful and exhausting!

i got the balloon BEFORE my epidural because i didn’t know any better…and TRUST that i will NEVER make that mistake again it was the worst pain I felt all birth😩

I actually didn’t even notice any pain with the balloon and I got it before the epidural. So interesting how it’s different for everyone

My older son is just a few days younger than Charlotte(we’re in the same due date group). He has Spina Bifida so I found out at 24 weeks I was gonna be having a c-section. I 10/10 will always recommend a scheduled c-section. I’ve now had a second scheduled c-section and I’ve had so many people tell me that they’d 100% prefer their scheduled c-section over a urgent/emergent c-section after being induced.

I went through this years ago with my first, 22hrs of labor just to have a c-section. Babies #2 & #3 I said “just tell me what time to be there for my c-section!” 😂

Giiiiirll! Same situation except I didn’t know I could get the epidural before the balloon. And LAAAWWWD, I did not plan on any addition pain meds before epidural but I hit that call button so fast.

I was induced because I was convinced by the doctor it would be simple and maybe take a day at most, it took 3 days and was utter hell so I’ll never have another induction if I ever have anymore kids 😅
