technically they are supposed to repair any damages caused by the sewage contamination which means replacing all piping that was affected because it cannot be thoroughly clean to the point it is technically sanitary that is a law but whoever has money controls the EPA and everything else so welcome to America

just let the water flow and it'll clear right out if you have a softener make sure you clean out your filters the screen under your faucet remove it and clean it and place it back flush your toilet a couple of times run your shower for a few minutes just run all the water and rest not sewage we'll leave
