I keep thinking I’m a narcissist when I am a avoidant and had no understanding of my ADHD emotional dysregulation and rejection sensitivity. Once I learned why I was being the way I was, I’ve worked hard to regulate my own emotions. It’s hard work when you didn’t grow up with an example of healthy communication.

Do you know you could be right on the money. I’ve said this to many people. In fact, I’ve said it to my ex I have seen Read hundreds of definitions of a narcissist all based on who you talk to who you listen to their interpretation so I got all jumbled but I do hear things that are like oh my God that spot on so I will probably tune in to your educational videos

I was wondering for many years if my partner was narcisistic but when I studied this and found the DA attachment, then it clicked and I understood the pattern. It was so exhausting to follow his moods because I had to change my routins and ALWAYS have a back up plan so our family and life would go on. He would tell me how I could manage everything myself as a compliment😳. I did not take it as a compliment.
